ILEA San Antonio is thrilled to announce an exclusive opportunity for one lucky Chapter Member to attend BUILD: Constructing Creativity — the International Live Events Association’s premier global conference — happening August 11–13, 2025 in Boston, Massachusetts!

This year marks the third annual international conference since ILEA revived its signature events post-COVID. You may remember the excitement of the first gathering, IGNITE, hosted right here in San Antonio in 2023, and I-24 in Seattle last year. Now, we're BUILDing something extraordinary in Boston — and we want YOU to be part of it.

🌟 What Is BUILD?

BUILD isn’t your average conference — it’s a creative revolution. Designed specifically for innovative event professionals, BUILD will challenge you to flip the narrative on creativity. Together, we'll explore:

• Why creativity flows freely in childhood but fades in the boardroom

• How creativity isn’t a rare gift — it’s a learnable, repeatable skill

• The mindsets, habits, and tools that spark innovation in leadership and life

Expect immersive workshops, hands-on sessions, and thought-provoking talks from bold leaders like Carrie Campbell (Boston Red Sox) and Steve Gross (The Life Is Good Playmaker Project).

And yes, there’s fun built in! From the Blueprint Lounge at the Sheraton Commander to late-night conversations and celebrations, this is where real connections are forged.

🎓 Scholarship Details

In an effort to BUILD our future leaders, ILEA San Antonio is proud to offer a $1,000 scholarship to one current Chapter Member (not currently serving on the Board) in good standing. The scholarship includes:

• A $450 travel stipend to help you get to Boston

• Full registration for the BUILD Conference ($449 value)

• Admission to Chapter Leadership Day ($99 value)

This is your chance to expand your network, level up your creativity, and represent San Antonio on the international stage!

📝 How to Apply

To be considered, please complete the application linked below by Thursday, July 4 at 11:59 PM CST. The recipient will be notified no later than Thursday, July 11. Your application will be recevied by our Chapter President who will redact any identifiable information. The applications will then be presented anonymously to a committee who will decide the recipient.
